That is still very much the case at Langsford Park, but as a senior player for the Lambs, his role at the club is far more than a goalscorer.
Prynn is hardly a veteran of the game and is still only 27, but this is a particularly young Tavi team as the club transitions from the squad it had that reached the Southern League. And now, as one of the mainstays of the team and a man that manager Stuart Henderson relies on, Prynn is playing in a deeper role, as well as taking the captaincy in the absence of regular skipper Ed Harrison.
Many natural goalscorers would not be happy at being asked to play a different role, but it is something Prynn is taking in his stride.
“Being a senior player now, that’s what it’s about, isn’t it?” Prynn said. “It’s about adapting and playing in positions that you are needed to and helping the youngsters out.
