Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday flagged off mobile vans stocked with pulses to sell to customers in Delhi-NCR as part of Bharat Chana Dal Phase II.
Chana dal (chickpea) is priced at ₹70 per kg, while chana whole ₹58 per kg. The Union government currently has 3 lakh tonnes of chana stock.
Over the last few months, the average price of Chana dal has been around ₹95, with a maximum price of ₹120 per kg.
