Jubilant Bhartia group picks 40% in Coca-cola bottling arm

JUBILANT BHARTIA GROUP, a conglomerate of diverse businesses spanning from pharma to quick service restaurant (QSR), has announced to acquire 40% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings, the parent company of the largest Coca-Cola bottler in India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.

Though neither side has disclosed the size of the deal, sources peg the transaction at ₹10,000-12,000 crore.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages is the local franchise of US-based beverages manufacturer Coca-Cola. The company in a statement said the investment by the Jubilant Bhartia Group would contribute to the company's ongoing success and help strengthen its position in the Indian market.
