CONGRESS MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday met the family members of Somnath Suryawanshi, who allegedly died in police custody in Parbhani and alleged he was killed because he was a Dalit.

CONGRESS MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday met the family members of Somnath Suryawanshi, who allegedly died in police custody in Parbhani and alleged he was killed because he was a Dalit. "The young man, Suryawanshi from Parbhani, was a defender of the Constitution. He was murdered because he was a Dalit. His death occurred in police custody, and strict punishment should be meted out to those responsible for his killing," Rahul Gandhi said.
