AN increasing number of suicides and migration by youngsters have become a major cause for concern for the people in Ron and other rural parts of Gadag over the past year. Hence, some farmers' organisations and senior citizens of Naregal convened a meeting recently and put the blame on private money lenders who harass the youth who take loans, which drives them to either end their lives or migrate to other places.
Many citizens present at the meeting said, it is the duty of both the parents and the police as there is nobody to advise the youth against taking loans at high interest rates.
