RARE flycatchers, that are found in Europe and the Himalayan region, have been spotted at Kappatagudda hillock this winter. Researchers from Bengaluru and Gadag, who were exploring the bio-diversity in Gajendragad have now moved to Kappatagudda where the team found five types of flycatchers. These rare birds are now seen in Shettikere too. Flycatchers are perching birds that eat insects and dart out to catch them in the air.
