Two Ayyappa devotees, who sustained burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in the city on Monday, succumbed to their injuries at KIMS Hospital on Thursday morning. The deceased devotees are Nijalingappa Mallappa Bepoor, 58 and Sanjay Prakash Savadatti, 17.
The explosion took place on December 23 at Eshwar Temple in Sai Nagar of Hubballi due to a gas leak from a cylinder. Nine devotees who were injured were receiving treatment at KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for the past three days.
