SINCE December 9, the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan contract employees have been striking work, adversely impacting classes at various Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in the Nalgonda district.
The strike has also brought the Education department to a virtual halt in the district, which has 27 KGBVs, with 280 teachers and other staff members.
With all the staff, from attendants to principals, participating in the strike, students are facing significant challenges.
Though the Mandal Education Officers are overseeing supply of breakfast, mid-day meals and dinner, no classes are being conducted, as is being claimed by the students.
