The house, which also serves as the residence of his son, Vellore MP Kathir Anand, was among the premises targeted.
Other sites raided included Kingston Engineering College, chaired by MP Kathir Anand, and properties belonging to DMK cadre Pooncholai Srinivasan and his relative in Pallikuppam, Vellore district.
According to official sources, the raids, which began at 7 am, are part of ongoing investigations.
Both Minister Duraimurugan and MP Kathir Anand were confirmed to be out of Vellore during the searches.
