UP man returns after serving Russian army in Ukraine war, says 25 still stuck

Yadav on Sunday reached Sultanpur Lodhi near Kapurthala in Punjab to express his gratitude to AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal for saving him.

"In the war one of my companions was killed in a drone attack by Ukraine. My life was saved because I jumped into the bunker built there as soon as I saw the drone," Yadav said.

Referring to another incident, he said that on June 17 one of his colleagues died in a grenade explosion there but the death news was shared with his family by the Russian authorities only after six months.
