BJP leaders alleged that the Congress party has misused the power and even used students during the 'Kalaburagi bandh' held on December 24.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, BJP leaders, including former MP Dr Umesh Jadhav, MLA of Kalaburagi-Rural Basavaraj Mattimudu and BJP district unit (rural) president Shivaraj Patil Raddewadagi alleged that the Congress has used official machinery to announce holiday on Tuesday to the schools in Kalaburagi and used the students in making Kalaburagi bandh a success.
Students and activists of Dalit Sangharsha Samithi roamed the city carrying clubs and burnt tyres in many parts of the city creating a fearful atmosphere, so that business establishments remained closed.
They hurled stones at some shops and vehicles, the BJP leaders alleged.
