UNIDENTIFIED miscreants hurled petrol bombs at the Congress office in Pinarayi on Sunday, hours before its scheduled inauguration by KPCC president K Sudhakaran.
The attack on the Priyadarshini memorial office invited widespread condemnation from the Congress, which blamed the CPM for the "act of violence".
The incident took place in the morning. The glass window panes of the office were shattered, while the front door got partially burnt in the attack. CCTV cameras installed near the office were also destroyed, while the inaugural plaque was found damaged and discarded nearby.
