The exploratory oil and gas drilling project in the sea off Kollam is set to commence in August 2025, according to Captain Arun Kumar PK, the Officer-in-Charge of the Kollam port. The initiative, led by Arya Offshore Services, will involve the deployment of seven offshore support vessels and a semi-submersible rig, with the port serving as the project's operational base.
Currently, Arya Offshore Services is engaged in oil and gas exploration near the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Following the completion of that project, the company will mobilise its semi-submersible rig, support vessels, technicians, and staff for the new project.
