Probe by the income tax department revealed that the car was registered in the name of Sharma's aide Chetan Singh Gaur, but Gaur hardly used the vehicle. The vehicle with hooters and 'RTO' sticker is suspected to be in use by Sharma.

Among the two premises raided, one was used by Sharma and the other by Gaur. The room in Gaur's house from which 2.34 quintals of silver bricks/bars were seized was accessed only by Sharma.
