A 21-year-old youth, identified as T K Alwin, of Vadakara, lost his life while filming a video for a social media reel on the Kozhikode Beach Road near Vellayil police station. The accident occurred around 7.30 a.m., reportedly involving an unregistered luxury car. Alwin succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital later in the afternoon.
According to initial accounts, Alwin was shooting a promotional video for a private automobile company. However, witnesses at the scene suggested that the youth was filming an Instagram reel with his friends. The unregistered car reportedly lost control due to brake failure and hit Alwin, who was recording the visuals on the roadside on his mobile phone.
The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to Alwin, and his friends rushed him to a nearby private hospital in the same car involved in the accident. Despite medical efforts, Alwin's life could not be saved.
