Reports on Saturday said Syrian rebels are closing in on Damascus from north and south, and have entered the key city of Homs. They have already captured Dera.
The rebels, led by jihadi group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham that intends to overthrow President Bashar Al-Assad and establish a new government, had seized Aleppo last week and Hama on Friday.
According to the UN, at least 3,70,000 people have been displaced and this figure is estimated to hit 1.5 million.
