"It is a perfect celebration of who we are as Filipinos."
Last December 8, a dream for a house and lot came true for an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Taiwan—thanks to Camille Villar.
Villar celebrated early Christmas with OFWs in Taiwan and awarded a house and lot to a lucky teacher from Camarines Sur. The prize was part of the "Paskong Pinoy 2024: Piyesta, Musika at Kultura" Christmas party, organized by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
Over 3,000 Filipinos from Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung gathered at the Fu Jen Catholic University in New Taipei City for the event.
"It's an honor to be with you all today. I want you to know I haven't forgotten you, and I'm thinking of all your needs," Villar said. "Just reach out—I'm here to help however I can."
