According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the national capital's average AQI was recorded at 334, with the prominent pollutant in the air being PM2.5. AQI did show a slight improvement, as none of the hotspots recorded the air quality in the 'severe' zone on Sunday, with the index values pegging under the 400 mark.
The top five places with the worst AQI levels at 6 pm on Sunday included Bawana-392, Jahangirpuri-382, Wazirpur-370, Rohini-369 and RK Puram with 364.
The average AQI value of the city was based on the observations from 36 air monitoring stations across the city, including the hotspots.
