The senior oncologist who was attacked by a patient's son and sustained seven stab wounds at the Government Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital (KCSSH) in the city on Wednesday is safe and his condition is normal, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said.

In a video released on Thursday, a cheerful Dr Balaji Jagannathan, was seen taking breakfast and having conversation with a team of doctors attending to him. He also says that he is keeping fine.
