Expressing a lack of confidence in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the incident that led to public outrage and a prolonged strike by junior doctors of government medical colleges and hospitals in West Bengal and outside, the petitioners prayed for a direction for a fresh inquiry into the rape and murder of their daughter.
Justice Tirthankar Ghosh asked their lawyer to add the central investigating agency CBI as a party in the petition and mention the matter again before the court on Monday.
