SC nixes PIL on references to Guru Nanak in Ayodhya ruling

New Delhi: Three years after the pronouncement of the unanimous historic Ayodhya verdict by its five-judge bench, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a PIL seeking expunction of certain references to Sikh community and its founder Guru Nanak but clarified that the apex court respected all religions and their tenets as provided under the Constitution of India.
