Domi sticking around

Max Domi had 47 points in 80 games last season for the Leafs after signing a one-year deal.

The Maple Leafs sounded as if they weren't going to "run them all back" this off-season. But they certainly look like they're bringing the same group of players back.

Forward Max Domi and defencemen Timothy Liljegren re-signed with the club on the eve of free agency-it begins at noon Monday - and Brad Treliving's valuable cap space dwindled somewhat with the general manager still needing defensive and goaltending help.

The Leafs were still hoping their big weekend move-trading for the negotiating rights to free-agent-tobe Chris Tanev - would lead to the defenceman agreeing to a deal with the team.

Domi announced he had resigned with a slick social media post that featured a cheering clip from the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" with a Leafs logo superimposed and a voice-over: "I'm not leaving.

This is my home. They're going to need a f--ing wrecking ball to take me out of here." Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady chimed in on Domi's post: "LFG!!!!! Stanley Cup next!!!!" The Domis and Brady are friends.
