I personally feel that taking care of yourself and your body as a mother to be is very important and crucial because the kind of health that you have prior to actually getting pregnant plays a catalyst on how soon you are going to be a mother. I feel that the energy and the vitality as well as strength before going into a pregnancy is very important throughout the pregnancy as well. Let's understand things from a physiological perspective, for a woman, if she does not have good hormonal health, energy and is not taking care of herself and not happy with her body type and if she is not nutritionally taking care of herself or if she has lots of nutritional deficits, then the pregnancy would be difficult and it will inevitably harm the fetus. When a woman is pregnant, all her needs need to be taken care of, as all the energy and nutrition are going to the fetus. It is important to not be stressed during pregnancy. A woman needs rest since there will be hormonal imbalance if there is too much stress. Karishma Shah is the recipient of the Women Achievers Award 2022 for Most Promising Nutritionist & Health Coach.
