I’m generally a fan of ‘super-zoom’ lenses for walkabout and travel photography. That said, super-zoom optics tend to compromise image quality in favour of a supersized zoom range. As an all-in-one lens, the Z 28-400mm is designed to take you further. I like that it sweeps through a wealth of favoured focal lengths but just how ‘convenient’ is it?
