EXPERIENCED defender Luke Hendrie has urged his Morecambe teammates to ‘stick together’ and repay the faith of manager Derek Adams .
The cash-strapped Shrimps headed into the weekend bottom of the Football League following a 3-0 reverse at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday night.
It meant they had just one win to their name from 13 games and underlined why many believe they will struggle to keep their coveted EFL place this term.
The Lancashire club have endured tough times of late and have been up for sale for just over two years.
Adams returned for his third spell in charge this summer and had to undertake a massive recruitment drive with just five first-team players on the books from last season.
Full-back Hendrie was one of 15 players signed on a single day in mid-July when Morecambe had an EFL registration embargo lifted. The Leeds-born 30-year-old has seen plenty in a career with a host of clubs and knows the key to the Shrimps turning their fortunes around.
