DANIEL HAUNTS FAMILIAR FOES!

COLIN Daniel turned a turgid affair into a thriller for Ilkeston Town fans dreaming of promotion.

He floored his former club with two brilliant strikes in the second half, leaving Worksop to wonder what had hit them.

The first came in the 48th minute after the Derbyshire side were awarded a free-kick central and six yards outside the penalty box. The former Crewe man simply blasted it with his left foot, adding swerve to power as it beat Tommy Taylor in the Worksop goal.

Within six minutes, he scored again, changing the complexion of a game with 527 fans enduring a dull first half. This time a corner was headed back and the onrushing Daniel’s left foot was eloquent.
