3DS MAX | CORONA | PHOTOSHOP
Scandinavian design is characterised by a minimal, clean approach that combines functionality with beauty. Its focus is on simple lines and light spaces, devoid of clutter. These principles extend to all areas of design, from architecture to electronics, but it’s most commonly used to describe interior design, including furniture, textiles, ceramics and lighting.
Typically, there is nothing superfluous about the Scandinavian design style; it strips back anything that is unnecessary, showcasing the essential elements of any product. Lighting is a huge part of Scandinavian design, as the Nordic countries get so little of it naturally during the winter. As well as maximising natural light at every opportunity with white walls or large windows, lamps and lighting solutions are critical.
The most-used Scandinavian colours are both neutral and monochromatic; bright and warm whites with black and tan, with pops of colour added as accents. Plush pinks, grey-blues, and colours rooted in nature, like sage, are the most popular in Scandinavian design.
01 BUILD AND FLOOR GENERATOR
Usually, the first step for interior design is to build the walls and floor of the room or house. Because I used only one camera angle in this project, I built a small room with two windows using 3ds Max, by drawing a simple box.
