PAYING HOMAGE TO CDs - THE WHIRRING SOUND OF MUSIC

Compact Discs were the reigning champions of audio technology. For many, CDs were more than just a means of listening to music; they represented a significant cultural shift in how we consumed and interacted with music. As we bid adieu to this once-revolutionary format, it’s essential to pay homage to CDs and acknowledge their profound impact on our lives.

THE BIRTH OF CDs

Compact Discs, or as I like to call them, CDs, were introduced to the world in the early 1980s. This groundbreaking technology was developed jointly by Sony and Philips, and it marked a significant advancement in audio storage and playback. The CD offered crystal-clear sound quality, immense storage capacity (compared to vinyl records and cassette tapes), and a level of durability that was never seen before in music formats.
