This isn't just a tech tale; it's a flavour-packed adventure changing how we enjoy our morning joe. The objective is to create consistency in the coffee and attempt to turn the art of roasting, that is currently, predominantly, an art, into a science.

The Coffee Grading Conundrum:

Coffee grading, the process of evaluating coffee beans based on size, shape, colour, and defects, is traditionally a labour-intensive task. Human graders painstakingly sort through thousands of beans, a process prone to subjectivity and human error. This is where AI steps in as the hero of our story. AI-powered computer vision systems could be employed in coffee grading, offering unmatched accuracy and consistency. These systems use cameras and machine learning algorithms to assess beans in seconds, grading them with a precision that surpasses human capabilities.

In India, where coffee is grown in regions like Chikmagalur and Coorg, the potential for AI-based grading is huge. This would not only improve the quality of Indian coffee but also makes the industry more competitive on the global stage.
