ALMOST EXACTLY ONE year ago Apple released Logic Pro for iPad along with Final Cut, the first app it had created for the platform that could legitimately wear the "Pro" badge. Indeed, it incorporated a great many features of the desktop version in a touch-friendly interface and was comfortably the most powerful and advanced Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) app ever made for iPad.
Version 2.0 is an iteration, bringing some cool new features while not altering the core of the app much at all. Logic and Final Cut for iPad are both subscription apps, unusually for Apple, costing a few pounds a month or $49.99 a year. The question of whether an existing user should upgrade is therefore moot since you have to keep paying to use the app, you'll get the update anyway.
