How has your last one month been, since your baby girl came along?
I suppose every parent in the world goes through this, and I feel blessed, and have been thanking God for everything going smoothly. I'm on baby duty, helping Richa [Chadha, his wife] as much as I can-my cooking has become better because I keep trying new things. I've taken somewhat of a paternity leave, and today's shoot [for this cover] is one of my few outings in this month.
It's also been two months to Mirzapur's new season, which felt like a long time coming to its fans. What were the reactions and the feedback?
Oh, it's been amazing. I think it's broken some crazy record that I found out about a couple of days back. Of course, with every season, I think the first week or so will also see some unhappy reviews and then suddenly, everybody just pours in lots of love. I remember this happened in Season 2 as well, because the nature of the show is such that we lose very key characters every season, so people get angry, but at the same time, people love it because that's the USP of the show. I'm very proud of this season.
As an actor who has been such an integral part of the OTT revolution as well as the redirection to the silver screen, not to mention your first production Girls Will Be Girls, which will release in India at the end of this year, what's the most exciting thing about being an artiste today?
