Just three weeks ago, Coleen Nolan opened up about her sister Linda’s cancer diagnosis – breaking down in tears as she explained that Linda’s cancer had spread to her brain. Now, as the news sinks in, Coleen, 58, is determined to be strong for her sister and help the rest of her family rally round as Linda undergoes further treatment to try and keep her incurable cancer at bay.
A close source to the family tells Woman that behind closed doors, the family is trying to pull together. ‘Linda, Coleen and the family have been blindsided by the diagnosis as they really weren’t expecting it. Linda had been suffering from a number of falls and the cancer in her brain was picked up in a routine scan. As she deals with the treatment, they are all just trying to come to terms with the shock and want to be there for her. It’s been a real upset and Coleen is really shaken, but they’ve all rallied around Linda.’
Linda, 64, was first diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer in 2005, before getting the all-clear the following year. But then, in 2017, she was diagnosed with incurable secondary cancer in her hip, which spread to her liver in 2020.
