The Princess of Wales has had a tough few months and her very gradual return to the public eye has been welcomed by both royal fans and the public. Now, a poll of royal popularity has placed her at the very top, just above Prince William.

Kate, arguably the jewel in the crown for the royal family, has been greatly missed and her address to the nation as she endured cancer treatment struck a chord with so many. And, it seems her popularity has soared.

The cruel online trolling of the 42-year-old mum-ofthree following that altered image of her and her children has been condemned by a public full of adoration and respect. Many were outraged on her behalf in a show of emotion that remains rare when it comes to the royals.

Plans are in place for her to return to ‘lighter duties’ once the long summer break comes to an end.

The standing ovation she received when she stepped out for the men’s Wimbledon final is perhaps a taste of what’s to come.
