In an optimistic message, the Princess of Wales has revealed that she hopes to return to her public duties in the near future.
The mum-of-three, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, sent a message to the Irish Guards ahead of their final rehearsal of their Trooping the Colour parade, apologising that she wouldn't be able to attend but that she hoped "to represent you all once again very soon".
On 16 January, Kate, 42, was admitted to hospital for major abdominal surgery and post-operative tests confirmed the presence of an unspecified cancer. She started a course of "preventative" chemotherapy in February.
While Kate's been out of the public eye, rumours have swirled that she might never be able to return to work in the same capacity again, however, longtime royal reporter and Windsor biographer Katie Nicholl has debunked those claims, revealing the princess has actually "turned a corner" with her health and will definitely be back in the public eye soon.
It's preventative chemotherapy - it's not a pleasant thing," says Katie. "I think it was a struggle initially and I was very, very relieved to hear from actually more than one source that she has recently turned a corner.
