Changing dynamics in the world often lead to a paradigm shift in the habits of the masses. This era also popularised a new type of genre called Ambient Television which is a medley of visuals that induces escapism from mundane daily life and ignites a sense of comfort and wholesomeness. It is soothing to ears when we temporarily bring our full attention to it, but not compelling enough to remember it. That is why this type of music also comes to be known as ‘Elevator Music’, which has soft notes, sweet symphonies and upbeat rhythms that give a sense of happiness.
any Indian’s memory would be that of an electronic store. Walking into wandered over to was the balmy and vibrant display on the multiple televisions. Even though purchasing wasn’t on the agenda, we would spend at least some time glaring and soaking in the visuals.
