So, you are snaking your way through the pile of things, whether it is to put away freshly laundered clothes, or the stack of newly bought books, a new serving bowl you love, but the shelf is full! So, you'll find a temporary spot to keep these, just for now. This spot isn't convenient or it will get dusty soon, it will annoy you, but what can you do? You feel tired.
The morning has been laborious just putting things away. Now you need a nice refreshing salad, so you peep into the refrigerator, through the many bottles in there, yes! The olives are right at the back! You really must rummage through the fridge to make that salad.
Okay, now with the plate of salad in hand, you clear your favourite winged-back chair, and think of how you are going to look great in that white, floral, cotton, T-length dress, for the lunch tomorrow, hence the light salad. Where is that white bag? Did I buy a matching pair of shoes for it, hmm? Still thinking... If only we had thought before buying! Now, its time to get organised!
The Xenophile Indian
Indians as much as we love our own culture are attracted to others as well, we are eager to learn and understand other cultures. It's our open mindedness, which is beautiful. What happens to most of us is that we are infused with choices. Having choices is great, but having too many is just confusing.
As Indians we love saris from our various states, the other dresses, like churis, kurtas, salwar, dupattas, lehengas, matching sari skirts, cholis. Western wear like jeans, skirts, dresses, chinos Ts, tops, long lingerie, lounge pants, casual tops for them, gym-wear. Accessories like footwear, handbags, trinkets - the list is endless.
