3 WAYS TO...
Motivate yourself to exercise
1 DO IT WITH FRIENDS 'We're naturally social,' says exercise coach Dean Zweck*. 'It's good to have an "accountability buddy" who 2 you won't want to let down.' It's particularly helpful when you're just starting your fitness journey.
2 CHOOSE AN ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY 'If you're struggling with motivation, it's often because you don't enjoy the activity you're doing,' says Dean. Find something that works for you.
3 TRACK YOUR PROGRESS A smartwatch or pedometer can be a useful motivator. If you can see results, you're more likely to keep going. But be wary of comparing your progress to others. 'There's always someone better,' warns Dean.
