The job market was not at its best around the time I was completing by post-graduation in 'Human Resources'. There were hardly any companies visiting us for campus hiring. One of the few organizations that visited was a manufacturing company. As it was not an established brand, many of my classmates did not show interest. But I decided to appear for the selection process.
At the end of the process, it was announced that I along with few other classmates, have been shortlisted for the final round that was scheduled a month or two later, after our final year semester exams.
As it happened, I fell sick a day before the exams and was hospitalized for couple of days. Due to this, I had to miss most of my exams. This meant, I will be completing my PG program only 6 months later. At a time when job opportunities were less, this further compounded my possibility of finding a decent job.

Dancer, choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Smt. Revathi Ramachandran's repertoire has taken her to stages PAN India, Europe and America. She is the only exponent of 'Sudha Nrittam', an ancient temple dance revived by her Guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious Kalaimamani award.Apart from her cultural achievements, this master's degree holder in Economics, has also captained the Tamil Nadu Women's' Basketball team in early 80s.
