A yatch for the road

A yatch for the road

There is something about the Mercedes E-Class which has always pleased the top bosses. So much so that even when the time came for a change, they replaced their existing E-Class for a new E-Class again! So what is it that keeps them so happy and most importantly can the new one once again recreate the magic?

The new E-Class comes with a mild makeover. With the new car, MercedesBenz has introduced an India specific AMG exterior line in the E-Class and this is the car which we have with us here. The front end gets new LED headlamps with a unique single strip LED day time running lights integrated within. The grille gets a diamond chrome detailing and the Star logo sits prominently in the middle. The front bumper is new to and to break the monotony of the all black front end, a chrome strip has been added. In profile the AMG Line 18in alloys are clearly visible and we were happy to note the rather high profile run flat tyres on the new E-Class. This makes it more relevant to Indian road conditions as compared to the low profiles generally seen on AMG branded cars. There is also a chrome strip which adds to the blinge factor. At the back, the tail lamps sport new LED bezels.
