This unique big-wheel conversion of harley-davidson’s tri-glide really is big: the front wheel measures fully 26 inches across.

The big-wheel bagger look has become a big thing in the bike scene in recent times. As far as we’re aware, what you see here is probably the world’s first big-wheel Harley bagger trike. And we think it looks great.

It’s the work of German bike shop, Rick’s Motorcycles (named after company founder, Rick Selbst). Based in BadenBaden, it’s well known for its high-grade custom motorcycle parts and wheels. It also builds complete custom bikes, low-riders, choppers – and now trikes.

It started with a standard Harley TriGlide and basically applied its existing Touring Bagger Frame Conversion to the three-wheeler. It has the distinction of being a TUV-approved frame modification, which in turn allows the three-wheeled version of Harley-Davidson’s top touring motorcycle to be ridden with a car driving licence, at least in Germany and many other European countries. Rick says the big-wheel conversion can be requested by any Harley dealer or independent customiser, without affecting homologation. Rick reckons this demand is growing in Europe, following on from the US market, where three-wheeled tourers have now caught up with two-wheelers.

This trike was built to the order of a Baden-Baden client who wanted “something special.” The huge trike offers not just a stunning-looking front end but has quite a few nice little extras, too, as well as special mods to make the 26-inch wheel work.
