Adeeb Ahamed’s meteoric rise as a dynamic business leader pursuing acquisitions and expansion on an unprecedented scale in the corporate world speaks volumes about the explosive entrepreneurial spirit among the new generation in Kerala which basks in the confidence that nothing is unattainable. Here, the business icon speaks to Destination Kerala
After a hectic day, searching for ideal locations to set up new outlets for Tablez Food Company (TFC) in Bengaluru, Adeeb Ahamed had just returned to Shangri-La Hotel in the city. It was almost 8 pm. His colleagues from LuLu Exchange were also waiting for him at the hotel for another crucial discussion. But the 36-year-old, who multi-tasks as Managing Director of Twenty14 Holdings, LuLu Exchange and TFC – the hospitality, financial services and F&B companies – appeared cool. There were no signs of urgency either. After ordering tea for all, Adeeb settled for the interview straightaway.
‘‘My father once advised me that whatever you do, you should have the know-how,” he began. “If you are in the cake business, you should know how to bake a cake. Likewise,I am trying to understand the modalities of identifying appropriate locations for our projects. After some visits, we can create processes that the team can follow,” says Adeeb, who is the son of P A Abdul Gafoor, owner of Kochi-based popular restaurant chain Bimbis, and son-in-law of Yusuffali M A, Managing Director of LuLu Group International.
Making the most of what has been bestowed upon him, drawing inspiration from a treasure house of entrepreneurship, Adeeb has carved out a niche for himself in the corporate world.
