Morven Christie has starred in hit dramas including Grantchester and The A Word. This week, she returns to our screens in ITV’s new six-part drama The Bay, which is set in Morecambe. She plays family liaison officer DS Lisa Armstrong, who’s assigned to a missing persons case, but things become complicated when Lisa realises she has a hidden connection to the family.

What is The Bay about?

The main plot line focuses on a family whose twins have gone missing and DS Lisa Armstrong is an experienced Family Liaison Officer who’s assigned to the case. She’s embedded in the family home to be the main conduit between them and the police. It means that we can go right into the heart of the family and deep into the emotions that everyone’s experiencing after the twins go missing.
