The football club in Gaza Strip named the Champions Academy has initiated a novel campaign for a section of kids inflicted with cancer. The idea has been conceived to boost the morale of cancer-stricken children and help them overcome the illness.

Sports can help to get rid of cancer and other fatal diseases. Here are 7 benefits of playing sports, especially football, in overcoming cancer-linked illness.

1. Overcome muscle fatigue

Medicines for cancer can cause severe damage to the muscles and nervous system. Most patients lose motor coordination post-cancer surgery and medication. Sports like football and badminton can improve muscle strength.
