Nadine Lustre lives her days in front of the camera, but she is as real as it gets.
Nadine lustre wants everyone to chill.
The night before, she tweeted “Harley <3 Joker #Goals” after watching the big-screen adaptation of DC Comics’ Suicide Squad and until today, her Twitter feed is burning up with disapproving responses.
“People keep telling me they’re not relationship goals. They’re retweeting me to say that Harley and Joker have an abusive relationship,” she exclaims, incredulity trailing her voice. “First of all, I didn’t even say relationship goals. They’re from a comic book.” She’s close to rolling her eyes, but instead she starts talking slowly, as if to make sure everything she says is clear. The former cosplayer knows her comic lit and she’s familiar with superhero history. “Their level of madness as characters is great. That’s it.”
The reactions do seem excessive for a three word tweet (four, if you count the emoticon), but then again, this is Nadine Lustre, one-half of the country’s most prolific love team, so even something such as her not uploading anything on social media is a national issue.
Back in July, the 22-year-old actress even made headlines because of her “bikini” photos on Instagram. While on vacation, she posted an underwater snap with friends, as well as a picture of herself shot from the back alongside Lauren Reid, the sister of her reel-to-real partner James Reid. Another friend, however, published the “more revealing” images that the Internet was quick to pounce on.
Nadine laughs at this story. “They weren’t even legit bikini shots! I was just chilling out!”
