With the average American throwing away nearly 70 pounds of clothing per year, the fashion industry is the second largest cause of pollution worldwide.Recent studies on carbon footprints in the India were triggered by excess clothing bought by customers, increasing the rate of greenhouse gas equivalent emission into the environment, setting off alarms in those rooting for property fashion. People wish to purchase a lot of clothes each season at low value even supposing their life is therefore short that they have to be discarded at the tip of the season. This psychological behavior of customers must be changed to implement the property fashion movement. Designers today are opting for the use of environmentally friendly methods and material for production of entire collections. Various Indian fashion brands are becoming completely organic and sustainable. From weaving to dyeing to stitching every aspect is taken care with a consideration for the environment. Of course, ecologically sustainable clothes are expensive, but we get the best quality products that are long-lasting and offer a healthy choice. Big labels like Fabindia, Hidesign, Mother Earth are making a mark in the Indian market for eco-friendly fashion.
