What pornography brings to a relationship is a matter that does not often get talked about or clarified enough to learn a lesson that can improve relationships. I will see it equally an opportunity to let the cat out of the bag about the darker shades related to pornography that usually goes unseen.
Sound relationships are established with the bricks of confidence which is an assurance that your life partner will respect your vulnerability towards him and respect you for the same. This vulnerability helps to become emotionally intimate with your partner. This emotional intimacy is what makes a relationship more meaningful and allows it to live long and strong. Of course, if you read your cues from the porn sites or even from the relentless messages streaming through the media, you might reckon that sex is the prime binding agent in a relationship. Despite the fact that this myth is pervasive in our gender-obsessed culture, it is the emotional intimacy that creates a person feel respected, cherished, loved, wished for, listened to and valued. When emotional intimacy is kindled between two people, satisfaction with their sexual coupling is far larger. There is no need to travel outside of that relationship to other agents of sexual stimulation or entertainment.
Today, due to rise in the pornography industry and easy accessibility through internet makes more people turn to pornography on a regular basis. In some cases, looking at online porn can become an expensive practice occupying a large lot of one’s time.
Dependencies on pornography are widespread and worldwide across various cultures and socioeconomic strata. Porn viewing easily becomes a universe unto its self. Erotica as a pastime is usually not discussed publicly and is much more vulgar than most people understand. It can be a casual activity or a chronic, compulsive behavior that happens at work and at home. In some instances, it can intervene with the man’s ability to function at home, with the family or at workplace. Pornography can be regarded as a very powerful strength that one can quickly and easily become addictive of (similar to banned drugs).
