Toni & Guy Legacy Collection
H4ufme Singapore|February - March 2019

Recreated by the Singapore Team, H4ufme presents to you the TONI&GUY LEGACY Collection. The LEGACY Collection was created by the International Artistic Team in London. Selected stylists from the TONI&GUY Singapore Team was sent to London, beginning their mission to learn and gain inspiration from the collection before recreating the collection with their own perceived inspiration.

Toni & Guy Legacy Collection

The general inspiration for the Singapore TONI&GUY LEGACY Collection was implementing three distinct styles – Vintage, Contemporary and Creative – areas where TONI&GUY are unrivalled.

“TONI&GUY has been renowned for its leading-edge salon work, translating seasonal trend into wearable, modern styles. Our inspiration from street fashion is still ongoing and our collaboration with fashion week designers allows us to be season fresh with creative ideas.” – Jordan Lam, one of the three overall in-charge of the collection.

JORDAN LAM

What is your name? How long have you been in this industry?

My name is Jordan Lam from TONI&GUY East Coast. I’ve been in this industry for around 14 years.

Is this your first time working on a look for a collection?

This is not my first time working on a collection. In fact, every year our company would send a team from Singapore to London to attend the Salon International Exhibition and our annual TONI&GUY Mainstage which showcases our latest collection. When the team returns, we would have a collection launch and a sharing session to showcase what we’ve learnt in London.

The most memorable collection, for me, is our latest collection “LEGACY” which is dedicated to the life achievements of the late Toni Mascolo with some breakthrough techniques for us to learn from.

What are some challenges when you were creating the look?

There are many challenges when creating a look. First, you must know what’s the inspiration behind the look. Secondly, finding a suitable model to wear the hairstyle, you need to consider their facial shape and features. Lastly, what kind of message or theme do you want to bring across to the audience?

Summer Hair Care

Summer Hair Care

Just as the sun damages your skin, it can damage your hair too. Saltwater and chlorine also take a toll on our tresses. A few weeks into summer, hair that was once shiny and easily managed looks and feels fried. Hair damage is most obvious when we see colourtreated hair becoming faded, bleached, and brassy. Even hair that isn't coloured will suffer from suninduced stress. Those UV rays dry out hair and rough up the normally smooth cuticle of the hair shaft.
