WHAT MAKES WILBERT TOLENTINO

There are very few people who can forge a career akin to that of Tony Stark’s or Bruce Wayne’s than anything else. From running an esteemed chain of bars, spas, and clubs across the Philippines, to representing the country in multiple global pageants, Wilbert Tolentino is still going strong in finding new pursuits to succeed in, despite having done it all. What is the secret to his undying passion? Discover the incredible insights we were able to take in as we sat down with Wilbert Tolentino to talk about the unique story that made him.

THE ORIGIN STORY

Like many great people, the story of Wilbert Tolentino started out from relatively meek beginnings. The future entrepreneur grew up in Binondo, Manila with Filipino-Chinese parents. Showcasing a strong sense of self-reliance from an early age, Tolentino shared to us that he chose to become fully self-dependent at the tender age of 14-years old. Despite a host of challenges that such a decision might bring, Tolentino managed to study in prestigious schools such as the Lorenzo Ruiz Academy and the University of Santo Tomas. After moving on from academics, Tolentino slowly began etching his name in the industries of beauty pageants and entertainment; a pursuit that did not yield much financial gains, initially. Tolentino sought to be smart in supporting himself by doing odd jobs such as being a taxi cab operator, as well as being a small-time entrepreneur.
