Many 21st century parents have less time with their children due to the demands of work. Yes, we work to put food on the table and also because we want to give our children the best. At the same time, we know that it is important to spend time with them. In an effort to fill the gap, many parents have turned to digital devices. There are parents who use these electronic gadgets as a substitute babysitter in order to keep the child occupied or simply to have some time to themselves.

It’s common to see children, some as young as toddlers, glued to a tablet in their hands or to TV screens. Numerous studies have proven that prolonged screen time may have been overshadowed by its more famous mosquito-borne comrade, dengue, but malaria is still here and still deadly. How can you protect yourself and your loved ones from malaria?e has negative effects on the developing minds and bodies of children and youth. So what can a parent do to reduce the amount of screen time for their children? Instead of handing your kids over to iPad Nanny or TV Nanny, try some of these alternatives.
