I often get asked: How can I improve my connection with Spirit?
And my answer is that in order for us to hear, feel, see and know the guidance from Spirit more clearly, we have to set aside time to actually strengthen this connection. It’s like going to the gym – if we don’t exercise, we won’t develop our physical muscles, and likewise, if we don’t go to our spiritual gym – in the form of our daily meditations, journaling, prayers, reflections and the inner work we do – we also can’t expect to have a strong spiritual muscle.
When we lack spiritual strength, it’s really easy to get dragged down into the lower thought vibration of fear and judgement and blame and bitterness that is often the dominating thoughtform in our physical reality – because our physical reality is the ego’s domain. So if you want to have the spiritual strength needed to make this attitudinal shift from fear to love, from judgement to compassion, from blame to forgiveness, from bitterness to acceptance, from limitation to expansion, from a perceived sense of lack, to a sense of flow and abundance – then you also have to put in the work and time needed.
I can guarantee that there are NO SHORTCUTS! If you want to connect more with Spirit, so to let Spirit guide you, you also have to set aside the time needed to develop this connection.
I meet so many people that are longing to experience inner peace and have a stronger connection with Spirit, but somehow this inner peace seems to elude them, and they still feel stuck, not having a clue where they are heading. When I ask if they meditate, they often nod, and when I ask if they meditate every day, they look away, mumbling that no, not every day, but they try to meditate perhaps once or twice per week, or when they feel like it.
